    You will know your flight information only after you pay your balance 120 days prior to departure. We use only reliable major airlines.

Hotels listed below are our preferred hotels. If reservations cannot be made at one or more of these locations, a comparable hotel will be reserved. We only use 4 or 5 star accommodations.

Trip Itinerary
  • Please note: A Visa is required when traveling to Russia.
  • Day 1: Departure from USA.
  • Day 2: Arrival in Moscow where you will be met. Check-in hotel. Dinner and overnight in Moscow.
  • Day 3: After breakfast, you will be met by the tour guide who will take you on a journey to the heart of Moscow ~ Red Square and the Kremlin. Visit St. Basil’s Cathedral, that was commissioned by Ivan the Great and the Red Star of the Kremlin. Experience your travel via Moscow’s ornate metro system. Dinner and overnight in Moscow.
  • Day 4: Visit the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the morning after breakfast. After lunch, visit Tverskaya which is Moscow’s Fifth Avenue to browse the chic shops and enjoy the Art Nouveau buildings. Dinner and overnight in Moscow.
  • Day 5: After breakfast, take the train to visit Sergiyev Posad (formerly known as Zagorsk) where the Holy Trinity Lavra is located. It is the most important monastery in Russia and the spiritual center of Russian Orthodox Christianity. Dinner and overnight in Moscow.
  • Day 6: After breakfast, visit some of the most interesting stations in the impressive Moscow underground network. After lunch, take the train to St. Petersburg. Dinner and overnight in St. Petersburg.
  • Day 7: After breakfast, visit the Hermitage and see the amazing art collection and buildings which has everything from Monet to mummies. Visit the staggeringly opulent Tsars’ Village, where you will visit the Summer Palace of St. Catherine the Great. Dinner and overnight in St. Petersburg.
  • Day 8: After breakfast, tour the Winter Palace, the grandest monument to the Russian rococo style. The 1,001 rooms, built for Catherine the Great include rooms swathed in marble and malachite. Visit St. Isaac’s Cathedral ~ the world’s third largest domed cathedral. It is a quintessential part of St. Petersburg’s skyline that took over 40 years to build. Dinner and overnight in St. Petersburg.
  • Day 9: After breakfast, take the hydrofoil to the Peterhof Palace. It was masterminded by Peter the Great and lives up to its billing as the Russian Versailles. After lunch, free afternoon to explore on your own. After dinner, attend the ballet. Overnight in St. Petersburg.
  • Day 10: Depart from the airport back to the USA.
  • Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards. Since we have several different trip configurations touring at the same time, it is likely that groups on different tours will be combined when their itineraries overlap in certain areas.
