- Luggage handling. The hotel will take the people’s luggage to their rooms. Every person is allowed to have a carry-on and another suitcase to be checked in.
- Single Supplement (as long as the passengers is willing to room with someone and allows us to provide a roommate for them. If the passenger wants a guaranteed room of their own, then they have to pay the $900 single supplement)
- Remember: Passengers will never be expected to pay extra for anything while on the pilgrimage ~ We always wait for passengers and never leave anyone behind.

- Pilgrimage Insurance. Passengers choose their own insurance package by directly contacting the insurance company (Travel guard is the insurance company Proximo Travel has a contract with). However, passengers could also choose AAA or TravelEx and they can choose the package they want with different prices. All that is being done directly with the insurance company not with Proximo Travel

Day 2: Arrival. Depending upon your arrival time, we may visit the Basilica of St. Paul outside the Wall where the body of St. Paul is buried. It is the 2nd largest basilica in Rome and the 5th in the world. Check in the hotel and rest for a few hours if time permits. In the afternoon, we will be visiting St. Mary Major, the main Basilica dedicated to Mary in Rome. We will see the remains of Jesus' manger, the tomb of Bernini, the remains of St. Matthew the Evangelist, the tomb of St. Jerome, and the oldest icon in the world of the Virgin Mary painted by St. Luke: the famous Salus Populi Romani. Mass will be celebrated at St. Prassede which will be toured after St. Mary Major. Casual dress. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 3: We will have an early start as our private bus leaves around 7:00 am to the Vatican to experience the 10:00 am Audience with the Pope. We will have mass at 7:30 am in the Basilica of St Peter. We will see the Pope very closely; you might even have a chance of shaking his hand. There will be time for lunch in the area of the Vatican. After Lunch visit Cripta dei Capuccini and then proceed to the Spanish Steps. This is the place where the Romans hung out. From there we will walk to Trevi Fountain, and have time for shopping. Followed by a walk to the Pantheon, the oldest functional building in the world, and then to the great artistic place of Piazza Navona around 4:30 pm. Dinner at Piazza Navona. Casual Dress throughout the day. Stop by Gianicolo Hill before returning to hotel. Overnight in Rome.
Day 4: Early in the morning, Mass will be celebrated at the Vatican: We will book the chapel closest to the bones of St. Peter, The prince of the Apostles and the Rock of the Catholic Church. The Mass will be in the Catacombs of the Vatican (Tombs of the Popes). Then proceed to enjoy St. Peter's in the Vatican, the largest Basilica in the world. After the tour of the Basilica visit the Cupola of St Peter’s to enjoy a view of the entire city of Rome. After lunch tour the Vatican Museums, and the Sistine Chapel (the Pope's private Chapel). visit the museum of Purgatory at Chiesa del Sacro Cuore del Suffragio. Long pants, capris, or skirts below the knee, shoulders covered. Time to rest and shop before dinner in the area of the hotel. Overnight in Rome.
Day 5: Mass is celebrated this morning in the Catacombs. Then stop for 5 minutes at the Quo Vadis Church, then see the Occhio di Roma. Proceed to tour the Colosseum, the symbol of the city of Rome; a great building that has been standing since 80 A.D. Then visit St. John Lateran, the first Basilica ever to be built in the Roman Empire, La Scala Santa, and Santa Croce in Gerusalemme. At night if there is time we can stop by Santa Maria in Trastevere. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 6: En route to San Giovanni Rotondo, stop by Lanciano (to see the Eucharistic Miracle) and have mass at Lanciano. Then proceed to visit San Giovanni Rotondo ~ the home of the Padre Pio Pilgrimage Church. It is owned by the Ordine dei Frati Minori Cappuccini di Foggia built in devotion to Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, it can accommodate 6,500 people seated at worship, with standing room for over 30,000 people outside. Dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo
Day 7: Early departure to Santuario di San Michele Arcangelo (See evidence of St. Michael’s apparition) where Mass will be celebrated. And then go to Loreto to visit the Santuario della Santa Casa (House of the Holy Mary) within the Basilica della Santa Casa. Tradition says that angels moved the house from Nazareth, where the Virgin Mary was living at the time of the Annunciation to this hilltop in 1295. Dinner and overnight in Assisi.
Day 8: Tour of Assisi. See the tombs of St. Francis where Mass will be celebrated and St. Clare; enjoy a peaceful walk on the streets of Assisi. Departure to Rome, Dinner. Time to walk in Rome at night.
Day 9: Fly back from Rome to the USA.
Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. Of course all that will take place with the consent of the group leader who will discuss it with the tour guide as the trip is taking place. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards. This group will never be mixed with other groups.
