Monday, Sept 2, Day 1: Fly to Venice Airport.
Tuesday, Sept 3, Day 2: Arrive in Italy and drive to Padua and check into our hotel. Perhaps visit the shrine of At Anthony of Padua. Overnight in Padua.
Wednesday, Sept 4, Day 3: Today we plan to visit the Basilica of St Justina (relics of St Luke) and the Sanctuary of St Leopold Mandic in Padua. Then we will travel to Schio and visit the The Church of the Holy Family and the Shrine of St Josephine Bakhita. Overnight in Padua.
Thursday, Sept 5, Day 4: We travel to Bologna today but first we stop in Verona. We will spend about half a day in this beautidul city, including a visit to the Basilica de Corona. This site will require a 20-30 minute climb up stairs or catch a minibus to access the mountain location. Then on to Bologna, hopefully in time to visit the Church of St Sigismund where the incorrupt body of Blessed Imelda Lambetini lies. She died at 11 years old and is the patron Saint of First Communion. Overnight in Bologna.
Friday, Sept 6, Day 5: First a visit to The Shrine of St Dominic and the beautiful duomo in Bologna. Then on for a half day in Ravenna, another exceptionally beautiful city, including the Chapel of Saint Andrea. Overnight back in Bologna.
Saturday, Sept 7, Day 6: First, we travel to Farrara and the church of St Mary in Vado, site of a eucharistic miracle. Then on to Mestre, on the outskirts of Venice. Overnight in Mestre.
Sunday, Sept 8, Day 7: After morning Mass, we make the short trip to Venice to tour the canals and city and visit the famous piazza and Basilica of St Mark. Back to overnight in Mestre.
Tuesday, Sept 9, Day 8: Another day trip to Venice to visit the Churches of St Geremia (tomb of St Lucy), St Roch (Rocco) and the Basilica Maria della Salute (St Mary of Health). Overnight in Mestre.
Wednesday, Sept 10, Day 9: Fly back home.
Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards. Since we have several different trip configurations touring at the same time, it is likely that groups on different tours will be combined when their itineraries overlap in certain areas.
